Status Saver & Story Download (Android)

By installing or using Status Saver & Story Download (the “App”) you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please uninstall the App.

1. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. The App is licensed to you, not sold.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App to violate any law, regulation, or third party’s rights.
  • Use the App to harass, defame, or harm any other person.
  • Re-distribute statuses, messages, or media captured by the App without the original sender’s consent. WhatsApp statuses are ordinarily intended for the sender’s audience and may be subject to copyright or moral-rights protections.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where the right to do so is granted by law.
  • Use the App in a way that interferes with the operation of WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, your Android device, or our third-party SDK vendors (Google, PostHog).

3. Your responsibility for captured content

The App captures statuses you can already see, and reads notifications that Android already delivers to your device. You are responsible for how you use that captured content. In particular:

  • Sharing or republishing another person’s status outside its original audience may breach their expectations of privacy or copyright.
  • Recovering “deleted” messages and confronting the sender about them may breach interpersonal trust and, in some jurisdictions, applicable law (e.g. India’s IT Act, GDPR fairness principles).

We provide the App as a tool. We do not endorse any particular use of it.

4. Third-party services

The App uses Google AdMob, Firebase Remote Config, and PostHog. By using the App you also agree to:

Statuses and notifications captured by the App come from WhatsApp / WhatsApp Business, neither of which is operated, endorsed, or affiliated with us. WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its source code, design, branding, and accompanying documentation are owned by Hiren Paghadal. The App is provided to you under licence, not sold. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation.

We do not warrant that the App will:

  • Capture every notification or status (Android, WhatsApp, OEM battery-savers, and OS upgrades can each interrupt capture).
  • Remain compatible with future versions of WhatsApp or Android.
  • Recover every deleted message or save every status before it expires.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from your use of the App.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) ₹1,000 / USD 12.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusions of certain warranties or limitations on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

8. Termination

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your right to use the App at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms. On termination, the licence in §1 ends and you must uninstall the App.

9. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts at Rajkot, Gujarat shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under these Terms, subject to any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you may have under your local law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. The “Effective” date at the top will change. Material changes will be highlighted in the App’s release notes. Continued use of the App after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Contact

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
