Delete your account and data
Docsy Scanner does not maintain a server-side account for you. All your scans, OCR text, folders, and settings live on your device. Optional cloud backup and sync store encrypted data in your ownGoogle Drive — we never see it. To fully “delete your account”, follow the four steps below in order.
Step 1 — Uninstall the app
Uninstalling Docsy Scanner from your device permanently deletes:
- Every document, PDF, and OCR text stored on the device.
- All folders, tags, watermarks, and signatures.
- App settings and preferences.
- Locally-stored passwords for password-protected PDFs.
How to uninstall:
- Long-press the Docsy Scanner icon on your home screen or app drawer.
- Tap Uninstall (or drag to the Uninstall bin).
- Confirm.
This is the only step that’s always required. Steps 2–4 apply only if you enabled the optional Google Drive features.
Step 2 — Revoke Docsy Scanner’s Google Drive access
Stops Docsy Scanner from being able to reach your Drive with any future sign-in:
- Open myaccount.google.com/permissions in a browser signed in to the Google account you used with Docsy Scanner.
- Find Docsy Scanner in the list of third-party apps.
- Click Docsy Scanner → Remove access → confirm.
Step 3 — Delete Docsy Scanner’s data from Google Drive
Docsy Scanner stores your encrypted backups and sync data in your Drive’s hidden application data folder. Deleting Docsy Scanner from your permissions (Step 2) does not delete these files. To wipe them:
- Open drive.google.com/drive/settings in a browser.
- Scroll to Apps and Google Drive or Manage apps.
- Find Docsy Scanner. Click the Options menu (⋯) → Delete hidden app data.
- Confirm.
This permanently deletes every backup archive and sync file Docsy Scanner uploaded. Because the archives are encrypted with your passphrase, deleting them is irreversible even for us — we do not keep copies.
Step 4 — Cancel Docsy Scanner Pro (if you subscribed)
Only applies if you have an active Docsy Scanner Pro subscription.
- Open the Google Play Store app on your device, or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions in a browser.
- Find Docsy Scanner Pro.
- Tap Cancel subscription → confirm.
Your Pro access remains active until the end of the current billing period, then stops renewing.
What we retain after deletion
Docsy Scanner has no proprietary server that stores your documents, so after Steps 1–3 there is nothing on our systems tied to your account.
Records that may remain, held by third parties on our behalf or independently:
- Google Play billing records — required by tax and consumer law. Retention terms are set by Google Play, not by us.
- RevenueCat entitlement record— a minimal record that the Google account had a Pro subscription. If you would like RevenueCat to delete this record, email us and we’ll file the deletion request on your behalf.
- Support correspondence — any email you sent to
privacy@hirenpaghadal.inis retained for up to 24 months for our records, then deleted.
