Delete Your Locksy Data

Locksy does not require an account, so there is no “account” to delete. Everything the app stores about you lives on your device, and you control it directly. There are three ways to remove that data — pick whichever fits your situation.

What Locksy stores

A short reminder, so you know what is actually being deleted:

  • On your device: your PIN, pattern, fingerprint hash, or knock code; the list of apps you chose to lock; vault items (photos, videos, notes, files you imported); intruder-selfie captures; settings; and any cached state.
  • In the cloud: nothing. Locksy does not run a backend that stores your locks, vault contents, or unlock keys.
  • At third-party SDKs (Google AdMob, Firebase): anonymous device identifiers and diagnostic data used to serve ads and keep the app stable. See the for the full list.

Option 1 — Reset in the app (most common)

This is the fastest route. It clears your locks, vault, and preferences without uninstalling the app, so you can start fresh.

  1. Open Locksy and unlock the app with your current key.
  2. Go to Settings → Reset / Clear Locksy data.
  3. Confirm. Locksy will remove every locked-app entry, vault item, intruder-selfie capture, and stored preference on this device.

What this removes:

  • All app-lock entries (the list of apps Locksy was watching).
  • All vault items — photos, videos, notes, and files.
  • Intruder-selfie captures and unlock-attempt logs.
  • Your PIN, pattern, fingerprint enrolment, and knock code.
  • All in-app preferences.

Important:photos or files you originally imported from your phone’s gallery are also removed from inside the vault by this reset. If you have moved (not copied) media into the vault and want a copy back in your gallery, export it before resetting.

Option 2 — Full wipe via Android Settings

Use this if you cannot unlock the app (forgotten PIN, pattern, etc.) or you want to clear everything including settings and recovery state.

  1. Open the device Settings app.
  2. Go to AppsLocksy.
  3. Tap StorageClear data and Clear cache.

This removes everything Locksy has stored on the device, including the PIN/pattern recovery state. The app will behave as if freshly installed the next time you open it.

Option 3 — Uninstall

Long-press the Locksy icon → Uninstall, or open Settings → Apps → Locksy → Uninstall. Android removes all app data when the app is uninstalled.

Anti-uninstall users:if you enabled the optional anti-uninstall protection, you will need to disable it from Locksy’s settings (or via Device Administrator settings) before Android will allow uninstall.

Third-party SDK data

The app does not run a backend that stores your locks, vault, or preferences. The only off-device data is anonymous identifiers used by the third-party SDKs we embed:

  • Google AdMob — Android Advertising ID, ad-request metadata.
  • Google Firebase — Installation ID and crash / diagnostics data where applicable.

To request deletion of that anonymous data, email with the subject “Deletion request — Locksy”. Please mention the approximate date you last used the app so we can forward the request to the right vendor windows.

We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and complete it within 30 days.

What gets retained?

Nothing related to you personally — there is no user account, no vault store on our servers, and no archive that survives the options above. Aggregate, non-identifying ad-impression and diagnostic counts held by Google may persist in their systems under their retention policies; we have no way to surface those to you because they are not linked to you.
